Buttons from the 1912 Election reflect Roosevelt’s decision to seek re-election after displeasure with his successor’s policies. Roosevelt wished for a more progressive agenda to be pursued. After unsuccessfully attempting to secure the Republican nomination, he formed his own political party known as the Bull Moose party. Naturally, this inspired a crop of buttons with a moose on them and others that played (both nicely and not so nicely) off of Roosevelt’s bold foray into third party territory. There are a variety of Bull Moose buttons available, some being very rare and valuable. Please contact us so that we may evaluate your Roosevelt Bull Moose button.
