Millard Fillmore was the 13th President of the United States. Fillmore was the last Whig to hold the office of president and was named president after the death of Zachary Taylor. There is a lack of memorabilia relating to Fillmore and a general lack of interest in his items. This could mean less competition for items that are available. Collectors will find a few buttons and ribbons and some signed documents and letters. There was no state china made for Fillmore. Flag Banners are highly unlikely because of Fillmore’s ascension to the office after the death of the sitting President – there was no campaign for which banners would have been needed. Millard Fillmore Presidential China Signature
Millard Fillmore used secretaries to write the majority of his correspondence. He signed his name in full. His handwriting is pleasing to the eye and a bit flourished.
