US Senator (1950 - 1953)

Richard Nixon was the 37th President of the United States, and he was the only president to resign. Unfortunately, Nixon’s legacy is marred by the Watergate Scandal, though a variety of other large events, such as the Vietnam War, the Apollo 11 landings, and the Middle East oil embargo occurred during his time in office. Nixon also has the distinction of losing in a Presidential election (to JFK) and then successfully running again. Nixon campaign memorabilia should be easy for collectors to find and available at a good price. Nixon did not have a state china service. Richard Nixon Presidential China Signature
Nixon enthusiasts will be disappointed to discover that Nixon had most of his letters drafted, typed, and signed for him by secretaries or autopen. This is especially true for his time as President. He did sign some material after his time in office. Most items during his presidency are signed with the initials “RN”, though others are signed using his full name. His post-presidency correspondence is much more likely to be written and signed by him personally.
